FBA # 1 this weekend!

This weekend I'll be working on the first contest of the 2010 FBA Season. I'm really looking forward this event and excited to see all new things coming to the FBA. Next week, I'll be in cali.

US OPEN of Bodyboarding!!

I just got my ticket to go to the US OPEN of Bodyboarding. This is an USBA event where top 5 Regional riders will compete along with International, National and local competitors. This is the biggest Bodyboarding event in the mainland. Cali, here we go!!

Wind swell!

Today was hot as hell, but we got a decent wind swell in warm water already. This might be my last time surfing in the gulf for a while, before the Oil spill comes our way. We are just days away before we see the effects of this big mess. You have no idea how upset I am now with this crap!!

East Coast

We went to Sebastian Inlet this week for a solid groundswell over the East Coast. Randy tried to do his best, waves were closing out really quick, even when the wind was offshore most of the day on a solid 5-6 ft waves.

Warm weather finally here!

Even thou, we are stil getting cold fronts way in to March, weather is finally warming up! I'm still wearing a wetsuit, but I can tell we are about to hang it in the closet soon. We've been having waves from this last system all weekend long!! nice to surf with some sun on your face!

Long weekend of waves!

The Gulf keep having swells from all these cold fronts coming this winter. I guess EL NINO is the one to blame.
Saturday and Sunday were both decent days for waves.

Surfing at home!

This winter has been great!...This is classic small and glassy day in the gulf after a cold front. We've been getting waves almost every week.

Back home!

I'm glad to be back home,after a nice trip to Trinidad & Tobago. Even better when we keep getting nice swells in the gulf. This is what I surfed this afternoon. EL NINO has been great!!

Trinidad & Tobago!!

Now in Tobago. You have to take a 2 hrs Ferry to get here, the one you see right behind me. This small island has the best surf in the country. Mt Irvine is a perfect point break, rights only, on a shallow reef, I mean shallow, on my first wave hit my knee, I didn't check it out after few waves. So far, surf has been ok, but now I can say I've found paradise in Tobago. believe it or not, I was the only one in the morning, then, in the afternoon, few local guys jump in the water.

Surf has been ok. the winter season is the best, but you need to catch a good cold front coming from up north to get some epic waves. here surfing on the the nort coast of Trinidad.

Finally, we are here!
I've wanted to come to this country since I was living in Venezuela. This gorgeous country consists of 2 islands, Trinidad, the big island and Tobago, the small island. Here is a shot of Port Of Spain, the capital.

SURF EXPO

This weekend the SURF EXPO took place in Orlando, as usual, great event. Here I'm with Ryan Rhodes and JOJO from CUSTOM X.

waves and cold!!!

This is one of the most consistent winter for waves in the gulf, but also one of the coldest, this week, I've got ice on my car everyday!!
I forgot last time I got ice on my car.

Waves at home!

Big and chunky waves is what you get after a good cold front in the gulf. Anna Maria Island was solid, believe it or not, only 10 people out.

Sebastian Inlet.

This is probably the best I've seen Sebastian Inlet in a long time. Big sets coming on glassy conditions for most of the day, what a surf day, specially after a long day in Flagler Beach working on the FBA.

FBA # 3.

The FBA # 3 presented by ANARCHY eyewear was another great event in Flagler Beach. That concludes the 2009 season and start getting ready for 2010. Here, you can see me with the PRO division winners.

Cold fronts!!

The gulf keep going off with the winter season. South of Tampa, we got some solid barrels!!
