A long weekend for the FBA # 2 presented by CUSTOM X. This was a 2 days event. We got a nice swell from Hurricane Igor. Contest was right in the middle of the swell. Here I am with Dan Worley, who took first place in the PRO division. Check more about the event at www.fbatour.com

Hurricane Earl 2010

This hurricane season has been pretty active. Earl got the biggest swell so far. We surfed down south, vero Beach area and Wabbasso. It wasn't as big as up north, but for sure the cleanest. We should have more picture and video later on.

Chasing Hurricane danielle up in New Jersey

At last minute, made a decision to go to New Jersey for the weekend to chase Hurricane Danielle. That was my first surf trip to New Jersey. Best conditions we found was at Manasquan Inlet in point Pleasant, NJ; 6ft waves and glassy conditions. Good looking barrels for sure. Saturday night got to go to New York, hanging out with Luis and Marcos for the weekend.

Nice to surf at home, this Tropical Depression is not quite as strong as a hurricane, but we got some decent swell, waist-chest plus waves and windy as hell. Keep them coming!!

COLIN delivers!!

This weekend we had a solid couple of days of waves. New Smyrna Beach was a better choice for this storm and Sunday I was one of the first one in the water. Some solid 5-6 ft waves and offshore winds most of the day, what else can you ask for?, crowd was kindda heavy, but plenty of waves for everyone.

International Surfing Day today!!!

Today is International Surfing Day, maybe no big deal for anyone, but Surf Shack Surf Shop is throwing a big party today, pretty much all day long, in St Pete Beach.

Bye California!

I will definetely go back to California. It's a great place for surfing. We went from Oceanside, all the way up to Malibu and every town in between looking for waves, even thou, we stayed in Huntington Beach. I really enjoyed that, every town has its own identity, as soon as you drive few miles, waves, scenary, layouts, pretty much everything is different.

California trip

California is a good place for surfing. If the water wasn't so cold, maybe one of the best place I've been for surfing.

California

Southern California has some great breaks, you can drive and drive and find spot after spot. The only thing is that, water is cold. It's almost summer and weather and water is still cold.
We surfed today in Huntington Beach some good solid head high waves, after checking spot all over the place.
California has some good looking views.

Here we go, ready to go to California, this is my first time going up there, so I hope to have a good time. I'm getting ready packing my gear and I'll be leaving in few hours.

FBA # 1 presented by BZ Bodyboards

After postponed this event for 2 weeks due to lack of waves, the 2010 FBA season took off with a great first event. Good times as always!!
Here are you gonna see me in these pictures with the PRO finalists, having fun with the guys, working as judge and right after we finished the setup first thing in the morning. Little by little, things are getting better for the FBA.

FBA # 1 this weekend!

US OPEN of Bodyboarding!!

I just got my ticket to go to the US OPEN of Bodyboarding. This is an USBA event where top 5 Regional riders will compete along with International, National and local competitors. This is the biggest Bodyboarding event in the mainland. Cali, here we go!!

Wind swell!

Today was hot as hell, but we got a decent wind swell in warm water already. This might be my last time surfing in the gulf for a while, before the Oil spill comes our way. We are just days away before we see the effects of this big mess. You have no idea how upset I am now with this crap!!

East Coast

We went to Sebastian Inlet this week for a solid groundswell over the East Coast. Randy tried to do his best, waves were closing out really quick, even when the wind was offshore most of the day on a solid 5-6 ft waves.

Warm weather finally here!

Even thou, we are stil getting cold fronts way in to March, weather is finally warming up! I'm still wearing a wetsuit, but I can tell we are about to hang it in the closet soon. We've been having waves from this last system all weekend long!! nice to surf with some sun on your face!
