Hurricane Bill

Hurricane is the first decent swell we got this summer. Lucky me, I just got back from Costa Rica, stopped by SURF EXPO in Orlando and got some good waves this weekend.

Summer time!!

We are right in the middle of summer, but the Gulf Coast is still having some decent swell here and there, enough to have some fun. I can say that for the last few weeks, we've had more waves than the east Coast.

The FBA was covered in last issue of the BODYBOARDER magazine. There is a whole article from the last contest of the 2008 season. Check it out!!

This past weekend we had a solid 5 days of surf with overhead sets for more than 3 days, nice way to spend a long holiday weekend. I'm glad I got it all.

FBA # 1 2009

This past Saturday, we had our first event for the 2009 FBA season. I worked my ass off on this one. I went out and competed on the MASTERS division, advanced to the semi-main heat, but I failed to made the Final. Check out the video, you'll see me working all over.

This week, we had some fun waves at home. Saturday was 3-4 ft and glassy, nice little barrel here.

2009 ESA Regionals.

I just got back from the East Coast to have some waves at home!!... nice.

I when over there to compete on the 2009 ESA Southeast Regionals. This year, they had it at Sebastian Inlet, one of my favorite breaks.

I got 2nd place in the Open Bodyboard Final, not too bad for the conditions, waves were so small.

That's a good size trophy!
