Cold Front

Cold front in the gulf means waves!!
This is my first session in the gulf after a long flat season for gulfsters. Hopefully these cold fronts are gonna keep coming, I just wish it doesn't get as cold as last year.

This was our last event for the 2010 FBA Season!
Waves were fun and the crowd really enjoy this event. I've been the Director for the FBA for few years now, but even when sometimes I get tired, I really enjoy putting into our sport. I'm glad it's over, so we can start working on next season, see more at fbatour.com

Big swell

This past weekend we had a big swell coming to the East Coast, as you can see on this picture. I got to stay the whole weekend and enjoy some bombs, paddle was a bitch, but the waves were fun!!!!

Back Home

Now, I'm back home!
This has been one of my best surf trip ever!
I surfed everyday some perfect waves, I couldn't believe it, 6-8 ft, glassy all the time. I was surfed out everyday and still have time to watch the Rip Curl PRO. Wacthing Kelly winning his 10th World Title is a highlight in my life, that was fun. On top of that, we party every night like there was no tomorrow, I stayed with some that owns a club right at JOBOS and his apt is right on top of the club, we got VIP treatment the whole week, too much drinking I have to say.
So, at the end of my trip, I had a great time, the only thing is, that I couldn't get one water shot at all, so hard to find a photographer with the main event taking all the guys, but I'm not complaining, next time!!!!

Final Day of Rip Curl PRO Search

Here we are, watching the best surfers in the planet going into last day of this event. This island is going crazy. Now, it's over. This was a historic moment, Kelly Slater has won his 10th World Title and the Rip Curl PRO Search, both in Puerto Rico, I'm so glad I made this trip!!!!!!, the Champ greeting the crowd!

Puerto Rico

This is my first time going to a CT tour contest, what an event!, these people put together an amazing contest.
Last night, hanging out at CHEERS for the official Billabong party, Andy Irons was suppossed to be there, sometimes life is cruel. I took that picture to honor his memory.

I'm really excited to go to Puerto Rico, I love that island. Waves are set to be pretty fun for the week and I'm also going to watch the Rip Curl PRO Search, I feel Kelly Slater is gonna take his 10th World Title in Puerto Rico and I'd like to be there to see that!

Waves and Halloween!!

The waves keep coming into the weekend and Sunday was a very good day for waves. One of my best sessions in Florida in a while. Head high, glassy waves and still warm water, can't beat that. Our friend Randy took the time to get some water shots like this one, thanks!!

Wind swell all week!

The East Coast was having this wind swell pretty much all week long. Nothing big, but just fun enough to catch some waves. Hopefully this weekend will get good, it's looking really good in the forecast, right before going to Puerto Rico!!!!!

Here is the official video from our last event of the FBA. This event was presented by CUSTOM X and it was filmed right in the middle of Hurricane Igor, conditions were not the greatest, but plenty of size.

ground swell over the East Coast

Yesterday we got a nice ground swell over the East Coast, solid 4-5 ft with offshore winds for most of the day, you can beat that!
Winer is coming early this year, hopefully good swells from it.

Hurricane IGOR.

Hurricane Igor was not the clean offshore swell like other major hurricanes, but this one brought some good sizes to Florida. We went to take some pictures from this swell. I'm barely making it out of this barrel.

A long weekend for the FBA # 2 presented by CUSTOM X. This was a 2 days event. We got a nice swell from Hurricane Igor. Contest was right in the middle of the swell. Here I am with Dan Worley, who took first place in the PRO division. Check more about the event at www.fbatour.com

Hurricane Earl 2010

This hurricane season has been pretty active. Earl got the biggest swell so far. We surfed down south, vero Beach area and Wabbasso. It wasn't as big as up north, but for sure the cleanest. We should have more picture and video later on.

Chasing Hurricane danielle up in New Jersey

At last minute, made a decision to go to New Jersey for the weekend to chase Hurricane Danielle. That was my first surf trip to New Jersey. Best conditions we found was at Manasquan Inlet in point Pleasant, NJ; 6ft waves and glassy conditions. Good looking barrels for sure. Saturday night got to go to New York, hanging out with Luis and Marcos for the weekend.

TD # 5 in the Gulf.

Nice to surf at home, this Tropical Depression is not quite as strong as a hurricane, but we got some decent swell, waist-chest plus waves and windy as hell. Keep them coming!!

COLIN delivers!!

This weekend we had a solid couple of days of waves. New Smyrna Beach was a better choice for this storm and Sunday I was one of the first one in the water. Some solid 5-6 ft waves and offshore winds most of the day, what else can you ask for?, crowd was kindda heavy, but plenty of waves for everyone.
